Hi,

My manual says that the awning size I need is 976cm.

This may sound like a stupid question but will a 975cm fit? (950 - 975) or should I go for the next size (975 - 1000).

Personally I'd go for 975 - give your dealer a ring.

Generally, are Dorema any good? I want a mixture of value with quality but more importantly, Ease of putting up!

We have had a Dorema full ( madison ) and porch ( Vitesse ) awnings had no complaints about them.  It took us  a while to put a full awning up ( over 1 hour ), only due to hubby having a long term illness ( breathing problems )

I have a NR awning and find it very good. When I bought the awning for my van I spent a couple of weeks looking around for good value. To be frank the cost of new ones just are not  worth it. So we looked at buying second hand, after a couple of visits to adverts we picked up a £700 one for £180. You can tell if it is ok - does it have a damp smell - is there mud on the skirting - has it been folded properly all these are tell tale signs of a careful owner. Lets face it - full awnings are a pain to put up. For main breaks I use the full awning for short breaks i use the porch awning. If you buy a porch awning the lightweight one are good value. Be carefull of suncamp scenic as the cross beam can move around and wear the paint off the side of your van. good hunting
