W have a caravan that we  lucky enough were given by a relative.    We only use it for winter weekends as we use tents in good weather.   In the summer, we keep in in my field, but the access is not possible in winter so we have only managed to take it away 3 times in 18 months.  

 We are looking for somewhere to store the caravan so we can go away fairly regularly this winter.  We would like to be able to go away Friday evening as a lot of sites stipulate that you cannot arrive before a certain time on Saturday and have to leave by Sunday lunch time so it is not really worth going away for what is essentially only 24 hours.   However, as we both work, we would not be able to collect it until 5 - 5:30pm when we phoned storage places local to us we were told that we would not be able to collect it after 4pm or dusk.   We  were given the impression that this was down to CaSSOA regulations, which seems a bit crazy as surely we can't be the only working people who want to be able to use their caravan at weekends? 

Does anyone have any ideas about where we can store it in the Southampton/ Totton/ New Forest area?  We don't need anything fancy just somewhere to store it where we can pick it up on a Friday evening.

We are in a CaSSOA Gold site and have access 24/7 365 days of the year and regularly pick up and return at night with our own pass to get in and out of electric gates but its near Chesterfield so its not much good to you.We had to look further afield as our local sites are next to useless for access.We even had to book ourselves a return time and if we were more than ten minutes late they had locked up and left

Don't know the site but been passed it many times and know three legged cross very well as we use a site there regularly.

Three Legged Cross is just on the edge of the new forest near Ringwood.

Echo what Andy sais, we are on a CaSSOA site and although our times are not 24/7 can still pick up and drop off up to 7pm in Winter. Again wrong area for you but other posts may lead you to a suitable solution.

Also, are you in either of the main Clubs with access to CL\CS network? If you are many sites offer hardstanding and are open all year and offer flexible arrival / departure times so you can make more of your Sundays. Some of the commercial sites offer "late leave" but often charge extra for this.
