Hi all, just looking for a bit of advice. Found a nice Sterling europa 520 for £2000 with everything, No damp and expected damage for age!
Anyway i found damp/leak under a window at side of van and a bit of damage on the roof. It also had repairs done profesionally in toilet area last year for water ingres which he told me about, is this still a good price can anyone tell me? I might have a go at repairing myself if i do eventually buy, (possibly lol)
Hi gilly.Damp is like cancer in a van.If you've got the spare time to keep fixing it or the funds to have it proffesionaly repaired then i would consider looking for another van.It sounds as if this one is prone to leaks. 2 grand will still get you a decent van if you bide your time.

Just another add to the above posts, in case you are tempted by a damp 'van again, Phone up your local caravan repair place and ask for an estimate on repairing that patch of damp as they will charge a couple of thousand pounds to repair it and also take a look on the fixed it club to see how what damp actually looks like once unearthed.
Don't be tempted by a damp 'van and do buy a damp meter so that you can check any possible 'vans.
