We had a 96 Genius 460/4 SE, a brilliant van, no problems at all, we sold it when our teenagers no longer wanted to come caravaning with us. For us it was always the Avondales that bought the problems regarding damp and delamination.
Which model are you looking at? the base models of that era where the Mirage range, followed by the Genius, then the top of the range VIPs
Given the chance and the right car to tow one of the new Coachman caravans i would not hesitate to buy again from them, it was only weight restrictions that made us choose our current Lunar
