We are off to Portishead, Gordano HS actually, with Avon DA.  This will be our 4th year with them and it is fabulous. Yep, first time for us in the Winter months too.   Off new years eve for 3 nights to a C&CC site Nr. Tewkesbury.   Keeping a close eye on the weather forecast mind.

By the way, the Kingsbury site is lovely...underfloor heating in the shower/toilet block!  This is our local site and have been there many times.

this is the first year that we are not away for new year,we had to cancel(youngest son on leave from army)
it`s great get the van set up nice and cozy ,meet some great people and chill after the xmas rush.

Hi, we were going away tomorrow to Castle Cary in Scotland, but have had to cancel due to weather, I am really fed up as we were looking forward to it, but I suppose we have got to be realistic and think about our safety in a 23ft motorhome on icy and snowy roads, Better luck next year!!!!!

Hello!   We are going away for New Year for the first time.  Really looking forward to it!  Going to Golden Valley in Ripley, 1/2 hour journey from storage site! Nice 5 day break.

Already there !!. We are at Rowntree park CC site at York, arrived yesterday very icy at the moment around the site and the paths around the river are a bit dodgy and more snow is forecast for the coming couple of days, buts its warm in the van and we are hardy creatures so we will survive.

We are going away to Orchard Park near Tuxford - only about 30 miles from home, but still watching the weather forecasts. will cancel last minute if need to - fingers crossed for a thaw and no further snow.

We cancelled our trip to Scarborough (we're at home decorating!) because of the weather, really sad because we haven't anything else planned until Easter! Such a long time to wait and hubby has booked most of his holidays for the yea!

Hope you all enjoy you New Year Breaks.  Today we have travelled down the A30 and back in Cornwall and seen lots of Carvanners travelling in each direction.  I'm a bit brassed off cos Hubby tok the wheels of our van for the winter and I would dearly loved to have gone away for Christmas and New Year in the van.   Ah well perhaps next year.   Enjoy.24
