We're at Hillhead CC Site, Brixham right now. It's cold and grey (but dry) outside and lovely and toasty in the van.
Last night, we enjoyed entertainment from 'Lesley Presley' and tonight we have tickets to the buffet and New Year's Eve Party.
The site isn't full - I think because some people have had to cancel travelling due to the weather in their home regions.
I think I am one of the few people here under the age of 50 though! Master U-M (13 yrs) is probably the next youngest person after me. If the Club Lounge had high back chairs, you could be mistaken for thinking it is a rest home!

We have had a ride up to the Chatsworth CC site today en route to meeting friends at Hathersedge, it was quite busy with caravans backing upto the main road awaiting pitches, a bit Naughty really, as it was only 12.15pm, and they have a 1pm earliest admission policy due to lack of any waiting area space. The main roads are now mainly clear of snow, although the Snake Pass (A57) remains closed due to Snowfall and the Chatsworth site had warning boards at the entrance regarding icy roads and pathways.
Our caravan is staying at home until March when we are hoping to pick a few days fine weather and phone for a late booking somewhere fairly local.

We were booked to go to Castle Cary in Scotland but had to cancel due to the weather, thank god we did weather today is dreadful and said to get worse and to top it all I have just developed the flu in that last day or two, so I suppose it was meant to happen like this, I always say everything happens for a reason and in my 47 years I am usually right !!!! Better luck next year.

Just back from our first New Years outing. Had a fantastic time - would definitely go again.
Very cold, and it snowed which was magical. Yes water did freeze overnight, but we kept a 5 litre bottle inside, so it caused no problems. Caravan was lovely and warm!
Nice to be home though :-)
