Hi all just got bk from Thetford forest c&cc site, in out Fleetwood Garland 1994 165/5 and wow we had a great time, kids enjoyed themselves, been previously campers, was surprised how warm and toasty the van was, was lovely to have a loo in the night and hot water on tap :) We used a sml oil radiator and left that on throughout the night as didnt want to leave fire on !!!!!
Took my 22 inch lcd tv and hooked it up to our purple status aerial, and woo hoo all digital freeview channels recieved :)
We used a pyramid majestic porch awning, that was sufficent for shorts trips and was handy to put shoes, coats, and bikes in :)
Thetford forest was lovely, had a lovely evening new yrs eve with other club members in the marquee they had set up :) and woke new days day for a five mile walk which my two children really enjoyed as the snow came down and they thought they was in narnia :)
Overall our ford mondeo 53 2ltr tdci towed like a dream, apart from the odd impatient ppl that want to cut you up and tailgate :( :( we had the balance just right, and used the old type blade stabiliser.
I used to moan about caravanners when i was a camper, but now i will eat my words i wont go back to that now lol !!!!! Cannot wait for the next trip :) :) :)
