just been down to caravan storage to make sure all was ok.all seemed fine. we decided to bring home our new bargain continental quilt from argos.as i pulled it out from under the seat i noticed a hole thought perhaps we had caught it on some thing when we last used, WRONG there inside the quilt curled up a dead mouse.so now gotta bring back the cushions incase of other rodents then find out where it got in.will have to bring home when roads clear and clean out. i hate rodents make my skin crawl.
Whenever I get a new caravan, I make a point of sealing up all the cable glands where wires come through from the underneath with silicon sealer. (Obviously I do not seal any vents underneath, in any case these normally have mesh secured over them.) We always have field mice around, so it is a very necessary precaution.
yes i saw that, thats what bothers me.i have a small hole in the front where a cable ran through i think micky came in that way through front locker.or maybe through fridge vent.there are plenty of places for them to get in. they got in.one of the vans on the same storage yard they destroyed his seat cushions. only a year old.he left waste water flap open.they came in that way chewed thro plastic pipe under the kitchen sink and wrote his van off.
We picked up some wildlife a few weeks back. If you do a search on here for mic there are all sorts of recommendations! We now have a sonic mouse zapper thing to keep the critters out (seems to work I think, makes me feel better anyway) and we always leave mouse killer bait stuff in Bertha after a trip, And check for dead 'uns regularly.
checked the ole girl out today.think it was the only mouse.found where the lttle sod got in through the vent grill under the fridge clever man at avondale used plastic mesh.i fetched all the seat cushions home for a good clean cos mickeys are incontinent.put some bait down.think all the moths in leics are female couldnt find any mothballs.
