How about a Nintendo DSi? do a bit of Brain Training or crosswords, sudoku, murder mysteries..........................the list is endless. She could even take some photos with the built in Camera.

yep map reading is not my darling mother's greatest skill either

have got round it by writing out directions rally pacenote style and just get her to shout them out. then if I take a wrong turn it is my fault. wel even if DM had been RTFM it would be my fault anyway lol
