I personally wouldn't go on a rollercoaster period, but if I was concerned at all about all the potential hazards that may or may not be wherever I went, I would never leave the house.

The only accidents or near accidents I have seen on caravan parks were caused by foriegn visitors switching the wiring on an EHU box to suit the reverse system of wiring that they had in their van and my tester plug showed up the problem before anyone was hurt.

On another occasion a drunk fell asleep in front of his gas fire and set his van on fire, burning his own van, his car and the van next door.

Should we ban drinking on caravan parks too??????

My safety is my concern and I will take what I think to be the apropriate steps to ensure that. No amount of rules and regulations could have prevented the two above incidents to have taken place. When common sense goes walkabout, then it is up to you to look after yourself.

So basically if owned by you and used by you no need for a PIR. Seems some unscrupulous dealers and mobile engineers are misleading the general public in order to cash in.

your not forced to have it done ,no one forces you to have a valid mot or insurance but it helps

i had 4 in 09 that were causing problems due to poor wiring , one was vermin mice , one was a iffy hook up cable ,one was static caused by undergarments , the other one was a van where the owner decided to add sockets but i dont think he was errr "competent" i think is the term to be used , didnt use correct wire too

Ok, some great comments and thoughts, but this is heading down the wrong track, so time to close
