My undersatnding is that production was moved from France to Germany because of the lack of professional finish achieved in France. So hopefully the Eribas will now be finished to the high spec that the Germans know how to achieve.

Not actually correct, there has been some complaint about standards of workmanship of Eriba Touring models in the last few yrs but it is wrong to blame the French factory which is wholly owned & controlled by Hymer Germany. Eriba Touring models are labour intensive to build & apparantly there is little profit margin. The final orders are being completed & then the Cernay Factory will close. Whether production will be restarted at another Hymer factory remains to be seen, possibly it will be on a much smaller scale to suit what is now really only a niche market caravan.

Certainly for the price Eriba Touring models must sell for to make any sort of a profit you can buy a much larger & well equipped caravan so it really only makes sense to buy an Eriba Touring if you intend to keep it many years.
