We hired a Sterckeman from Freedom caravans in Stafford when we were deciding if we liked caravanning. We hired a Starlett - it had a front double you had to make up, and fixed bunks. No oven, but HUGE fridge. It was a tidy van. would have bought one, but couldn't afford it!

This is a 4 berth Freedom model 420D, year 2000.
A similar caravan of the same make would cost about £9000-10000 new (today)
I had a 2006 Sterckeman Starlett 390CP. It had the fixed double at the front and an eating area at the back that made into another double. I traded it in in October for the Bessacarr. I loved my Sterckeman but just found the van to small and it wasn't the worlds best rallying van as it only has 2 12V lights and no gas heating or hot water, I used mine all year round and was away nearly every weekend so it got some hammer and it was starting to show. Whilst emptying the van I noticed that all the units were starting to come away from the wall as the screws were working loose. Also had to do a lot of little repairs on it as the build quality was not the greatest. It cost me just over £7000 new so don't pay too much for a second hand one if you think its the one for you. The Freedom caravans are better built although smaller. I had a 2005 Freedom Jetstream first class before the Sterckeman and that was much better. They do a 4 berth version as well.
