Hi we have just purchased a lunar Quaser 546 from Leisure Sales Cheshire. Our van will hopefully be ready to pick up in June. Would be interested to know of any problems to be aware of and if anyone has added any extras to their van that we may have overlooked.

Really looking forward to hearing about your experiences as we are very excitied about owning our very first caravan after having spent many years camping.

We took delivery of a 2010 Quasar 546 last December. Still not been out in it yet...I cannot wait. I'm so sad that we often sit in it in the storage area.

Our first trip is not planned until the end of March. Eagerly wishing time away.

The only thing I thought of and need to check is a fire extinguisher/blanket. I cannot remember seeing one when we bought it.

Hi, we've got a Quasar 462 (2 berth) on order. It's being built this month and should get it sometime in March, getting an alarm fitted as well, otherwise standard kit. Our first van and really getting excited. Spent last year looking out from our tent at those with caravans, drive up, put the steadies down, hop in and put the kettle on ! Storage is sorted, so, like your, we're now compiling the list of other bits we need, gas, wheellocks, hitchlock, wastemaster etc. I think things like extinguishers will come into this list as well......Oh, we need an awning too...it took us two years to decide which caravan to buy, hope we can choose the awning a bit quicker !

I have just bought a Quasar 626 and have fitted 2x extra reading lamps above front seat ends, a wardrobe light, 2x extra sockets one in kitchen and one under side dinette, a external aerial point in battery box and a extra blower output in the fixed bed.
Still haven't used it yet !
Can't wait !!

We have the 546 too, we got it last year. The only thing I would have got was 2 extra spotlights for the front. Make sure you get the middle bunk guard rails, ours weren't included (luckily our eldest- 15 has the middle bunk and hasn't fallen out so far) if you have smaller kids I would use them.

Good luck, I'm sure you'll be really pleased with it.

We got a Quasar 615-6 new in 2007 and its been brilliant! Although I did discover a crack in the front panel where someone had over tightened the gas shock - was going to take it back to dealer, but to be honest it was too much hassle because of time off work and distance etc.. local van repairer will put right for a few quid. It has the extra bunk fitted at the rear which is handy as we are expecting baby #4.
