Hello today we have sold our Abbey Aventura 330 6 berth, and put a deposit on a Coachman, not a brand new one, but she is only just over a year old, .....and my perfect fixed bed layout !!! i have been so anxious and excited i cant sleep. We are hoping to pick it up this week, on the other hand i cried when the Abbey went as we have had some wonderful holidays in her, i really hope her new owners will enjoy her just as much as we have. ......what a stressfull time, its like selling your house, and emptying the Abbey ,,,well i cant believe how much was in her !!!

Congratulations on your new van!

Know exactly what you mean about the mixed emotions - I was really upset to see our old van go but excited to be getting the new one at the same time.  We were also the same when it came to emptying the old van - coudn't believe we had so much stuff in there!  We've vowed to only keep what we really need in the new one.  Everything else stays at home until the trip when we want to take it.

You're really lucky to live in the York area - went there twice last year & love it.

Congrats on the new caravan Lozzie!

Bet you can't wait to pick the van up in the morning-and a trip out to Holmfirth to pick it up-how nice. I should imagine you will have a proper fun day tomorrow finding a home for everything-am sure you will get used to your new layout.
Am sure you have made a good choice with the Coachman- well i hope so-we are awaiting the delivery of a Coachman Pastiche 460 and can't wait!

Enjoy your day

We got our new van 2 weeks ago and have gone from side dinette end washroom to fixed bed. We had the last van for 8 years and everything had its place, we now seem to have twice as many cupboards and spent last weekend (our first trip in her) going from cupboard to cupboard trying to find things.

Like you we were, and still are very excited. Luckily last weekend was perfect weather, just a bit cold at night but dry and sunny by day. We were amazed how full the site was, probably 85% full. Two thirds were motor homes, the rest caravans.

The fixed bed makes such a difference. Not only is it much more comfortable, but the van stays with a living area, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom all the time. You get up in the morning, make a cup of tea, then sit down in the lounge, all with no effort and no rearranging everything. Perfect.

Congrats Lozzie,

I find it quite excting finding homes for everything when we change vans, Although I put everything away, use it a few times, then re-arrange 90% of it! My OH always moans she can never find anything, she left me at the van to go to work one weekend last year and I had changed all the kitchen cupboards round,

I hope your pickup of your new van goes well
