I fitted a set of "normal" pads to our Pegasus and although the ones on the back are fine, the front corner steadies have narrow 'feet' and they punched clean through the pads. I got 2 new ones of a different make from the shop but I don't think these are going to last long either.
So, I was wondering if anybody had any of the Alko ones fitted to their caravan and if so, what are they like? For the price, they should be indestructible

I would want a beutiful lady with sexy legs to put each leg down on my van at that price!
I reckon a small piece of plywood under the foot should do, but I suppose you get the other plastic type so that you don't have to take bits of wood etc.
Perhaps you could use some cheaper plastic type with some wood screwed on --- might as well get the posh ones I suppose
could it just have been particularly soft ground ? Maybe next time the ground will be firmer and you won't have the same problem?
Somewhere - buried in the storage shed, I have some 'Bugfoots'. These have a trough to fill up with water or disinfectant to stop ants crawling up the steadies. They appear to be very strong. I will dig them out if anyone is interested.
Seen them on a German caravanner's van and was given a demonstration. Impressive as they lowered parallel to the ground, but they need to be less than half that price.
But the Germans don't usually have to get on and off the ferry and that's the ultimate test. I prefer the rear steadies presenting effectively steel skids, having witnessed the way frequent rear end impacts smashes the plastic ones.
So at half the price I would have to walk away from buying these AL-KO ones and stay with my home-made 19mm thick marine ply squares.
