on trade-in it seems to add about £350 . so I guess they add that to the retail price.

on a nearly new van you would expect the mover to be nearly new, but on a much older van, the mover could have been fitted many years ago, so I think that on a newer van you would get more for the mover, on an older van less. I agree that they make the van more saleable rather than add vast value though.

Having not used one, I would have thought that someoneweith a relatively low budget would class a mover as a luxury and something that can be lived without, so i think if it were me, i would be looking more for things like water containers, gas cylinders an awning etc, as things that are more nescessary and soon add up to quite a value.

 i wouldnt mind having a mover as it would certainly help in some situations, but i just cant warrant spending the money..

Worth asking them when the mover was fitted and what kind of warranty/guarantee came with the mover. If the warranty is still valid check out the terms of the warranty just to see if it is personal to the original buyer or benefits any owner. The warranty may say that the warranty can be assigned (transferred). If it does then you would probably need a formal written assignment from the present owner to be able to benefit from the warranty. The motor mover firm would check their records to see if your name appeared before dealing with any problems. If you do get a written assignment send a copy to the motor mover firm or dealer who gave the original warranty. If the warranty says that it is for the benefit of any owner then drop them a line just to let them know you are the new owner.

Same applies for any warranty on any commodity you are buying. Many folks often just assume that if there is a warranty with something they get the benefit automatically. Not necessarily so, hence the need to check the paperwork
