C& CC members. In case some are unaware the C&CC do a passport that you can collect on site . The host site will stamp up your book for every night you have booked. When you have collected enough stamps you can have a free nights stay when you stay for 3 or more nights. It is all explained in perfect detail in the passport. Its something to keep the costs down and keep you exploring and relaxing.
In some ways, I preferred the Camping Miles scheme as it's replacement isn't available on all club sites and is also dependent on season. Not many sites offer the discounts in high season (surprise, surprise) and quite a few don't offer it mid-season either. You need to download the pdf file to check.
I still think the C&CC offers good value for us though as we are both over 55. As we are also retired, we tend to go Monday to Friday. We also avoid high season. As an example, we have 4 nights booked at Graffham in May, with EHU, for less than a tenner a night.

Richard

Yes, sorry to see the camping miles go. Even though mainly use CS sites so few stamps on the passport, did win in the end of year lottery. So got an Argos voucher. Thanks CCC.

yes in a way,but we always finish up with a lot of free nights we can not use.
------------- the only silly question is the one you do not ask.
I am very sorry to see the scheme scrapped...we always use their sites and accumulated lots of stamps in our passport and so, quite a few free nights. The new scheme is very limited in high season, and mid season, which is when we have to take our holidays due to having 2 school age children. Families losing out again.
I also note that the C&CC have designated most of the year as mid or high season. We have always taken a holiday in October for half term and this was at low season rates, with the kids going free. Even this cheap week away has now greatly increased in price for us.
