This may sound like a silly queston but can anyone tell me how to get the cover off the light so I cn change a light bulb in my Compass Magnum 482

do you mean the awning light? if so squeeze with both hands at each end.not easy to do.

If you mean the cover on large round ceiling light, what i do is get a very thin blade {like a craft knife} and just find the small gap between the cover and the outer frame and it should just pop out enough for you prise it off.

Thats not silly - We have one we don't know how to get off so we rarely se it so it does not blow- thats silly! (also a compass)

if its the large round type for inside,as you look up at you will see 4 lugs about a quarter of one inch square on the underside.these can be seen as darker than the rest of the light.this is where the tiny screwdriver is placed to lift out the shade.take care they break easy and are not cheap to replace.

It's not the Awning light it's the round lights that are near the kitchen and in the bathroom.   Sorry Blitey but i can't see your pic from my computer at work i will have a look when i get home tonight.  Thanks everyone

Our awning light lights the inside just as much as the outside. Had a look in our manual and there is nothing whatsoever on changing light bulbs.

Nothing in ours either.  That's why I;m asking the question.  You would think that with all the stuff they put in manuals they could tell you how to change a light bulb wouldnt you!!!
