We have a sort of rule that we never go to the same site twice. Just because we want to see and do as much of the country as we can. Plus we cycle a lot and don't want to cycle the same routes. But I have the impression (maybe wrongly) that many people do the opposite and often re-visit favourite sites. Is it just us ? What do others do ?

P.S. We don't have children so maybe that's a big factor ?

We often revisit. Sometimes glad we did - occasionally disappointed

We visit sites we've been to before but they have to have that special kind of something about them.Like you,we like to get about as much as possible and see as much of the country as time allows. We havent got children either but this has no bearing for us weather we revisit sites or not.

Places in the Dales are sites we visit more than the once but then we can't get enough of the Dales. We have a list, which gets longer and longer of places we want to visit so maybe visits to the dales will become less and less

I suppose it depends on why we are using the caravan on a particular trip.

Usually our holidays consist of going to a site and then staying there for 5 or 6 days while we explore the area before moving on to another area and doing the same. That way we will be staying at 4 or so different sites over one trip.

But then there are sites that we go back to again and again simply because we are going to a particular area to do some particular activity. (not a holiday as such).

I can see you point in not using the same sites twice but, for us, there is more to a good site than just its location and those sites we do return to are ones that we feel almost at home in.

But even if you stayed in a new site every night and just for one night, it would still take you more than 10 years just to cover all the Club CS & CL sites.

I would agree that its nice to try new campsites but we do sometimes return to sites we have previously visited although often there is several years between visits.

For main holidays we try different sites, but we try to fit as many weekends in as we can inbetween and tend to use various favourites closer to home. We are always on the lookout for new CL's to try.

Visit one near Penzance several times a year, but that is only because it is near to our daugters and saves having to reorganize her home.

Very very rarely do we return to a site previously visted.  Like to explore farther and farther afield

Never visited the same site twice for a main (holiday) but use a few local sites we like for a short break.

We do both. In France and here.
There is one site in particular, and it is the only one of it's kind within at least 100 miles!

We've only been 'vanning for 2 years so havent got that much experience yet but we do use our local one for at least a couple of weekends a month and one about an hour away we have used twice and are returning this Easter.

I personally would rather re-use a site I know is good than book one I know nothing about.

We go to the Lakes every year and until we bought the van we always used the same cottage as it was very dog friendly, quiet, reasonable and had stunning views.
