We are thinking joining the Caravan Club. I know the Camping and Caravanning Club offers goodies to members who introduce others. Do the CC do the same?

If you can persuade us of the main advantages of joining both clubs; then we will willing be your nominees.

Not many posts on here offer a bribe, do they!

I've only just joined them both so I'm afraid I have yet to see the benefits.
I joined so I could get insurance quotes from. Both and join cc red penent. Ooh I also fancied a sites book.

I'm sure someone else will be around to help you with more benefits.

I joined the caravan club when we bought our first caravan because..... well.... that's just what you do isn't it lol?!?

Since joining I've only ever stayed at Ferry Meadows site near where we live and I still think it's one of the loveliest sites and very handy (so hub can still go to work while the children and I can holiday).  Other than that very few of their sites have appealed as they seem to be more geared for grown ups and the older couples.

After staying on a forest holidays site last year (Spiers House nr Pickering) and loving it, I decided to join the C&CC to get discounts from forest holidays and have found that their site book seems to indicate their sites are far more family and child friendly.  Which will suit us more.

As for free gifts, I didn't get any from either, however you can get great free gifts from Practical Caravan Magazine if you subscribe to that instead lol!

I seem to remember an itroduction by a member used to be rewarded with a £5 voucher but I could be wrong. I'm considering joining the CC this year because they've got a members only site right next to the site of a big Agricultural show I fancy going to for a weekend. Seems a bit extreme but I think the magazines on their own are worth the subscription fee.

I've got to hope they'll accept my application this time, last time I applied to join, back in the late 70s, they returned my cheque claiming my outfit was not up to their standards. I enjoyed a couple of holidays in it & sold it on for the same as I'd paid so not sure what was wrong with it.

One thing I'll say in favour of the CC is they had a place for members to go & sit down for a rest at the recent NEC show, fair play to them for that.

We joined the C & CC at the NEC and got a voucher for a free night at one of their sites.
Of the 2 we went for the C & CC because we got a better reception on their stand. CC didn't seem very interested!!

The CC didn't even bother to have a stand at the Manchester show which was to the C&CC's advantage.
