May sound a silly question due to the size of the caravan, but does anyone know whether a porch awning will fit this type of van.
We pick our 2nd hand one up at the weekend, it comes with full awning but just wondered whether a porch awning would be an option.
Also i understand that there are no skirts with the full awning, how do we go about sorting this out as we have a little dog who I know will escape via this area.
Yes,we have a porch awning with our sunseeker which if i remember rightly fits perfectly.Tbh we have never used it as we always need the full awning up for space but we did erect it when we had the van.I don't know the name of the awning as its been in the bag at the back of our garage since we tried it.As to the awning skirt,we had one with ours but our van wasnt new when we had it so the skirt could have been added later

thanks for your replies, we didnt see the full awning when we bough the van, it was almost new so may have the bits i am looking for, will wait and see at the weekend.
overall height is 2.46 mtrs, not sure on awning rail but porch awnings i've seen say around 2.30 to 2.50 mtrs.
look after your awning.using them every time really gives them a shallacking and good secondhand freedom awnings are rare.New ones are around £550 from freedom and only from them.

Is there a big enough difference between a freedom awning and a porch awning to warrant not using the full awning?
A porch awning needs a flat section of awning rail long enough to take the awning and the little extra bits at the end. Also the awning ideally needs to enclose the door and preferably not end halfway across a window. This isn't essential but is desirable. Also the awning companies give a minimum and maximum awning rail height.
I must admit with our Sunseeker we needed the full awning every time. Things had to go out there like the table by day, and the kids by night while I made the beds up, but then ours was a 4 berth.
i think we will probably need the full awning and yes the porch awning probably isnt much bigger, i just thought the material of the porch awnings may be easier to dry as we dont have much luck when camping and it always rains, dont want to have to put away a damp awning all the time.
