I thought this was an alternative thread to "securing the load". Please tell us why. We keep a couple of tents as well as our caravan but don't use them much, the caravan is loads better for us. We have just been away to Gloucester and tomorrow we are going to Chesterfield for a few days, away to Herefordshire at Easter then who knows? both retired and can afford it which helps. Couldn't do it with a tent.
it was fixed in sept(from wheel arch toother side of door where it was showing then) but its back coming from the wheel arch under the door readings of 60-70% then all the way round to the back of the van where it drops to a mere 40
where is yours ?
it is covered under the warranty but just feel that maybe vanning for us is not meant to me (esp after the barrier incident)
Ours is in for the 3rd time since August, they have yet to find where it is coming in. They have not told us of damp readings, scared to ask!!!! We discovered the problem by the bl**dy great puddles on the bathroom floor and under a rear seat (same side). When it rained heavily in scotland last year we could watch the puddle growing as we looked. Seeping out where wall meets floor. THis is the last chance for them i think. We are going to contact swifts if no luck this time. What worries me is what damage has been done that we can't see.

oh no what a nightmare
i dont know you buy new(ish in our case) thinking will be safe no problems then the thing just jumps up and bites you
These stories are terrible! You pay alot of money for (hopefully) a decent, newish van, these problems just shouldn't happen, should they? This is one reason why we have a foreign van and will do next time, but even then will we be safe from the dreaded damp? It really is appalling, in this day and age with all the testing thats surely available to all manufacturers.
