Hi,
I have just been to check on the van again (getting paranoid about rain) and I had a look at the ID plate just to check on the weight, can any one help?
It has 3 figures,
0. 1000KG
1. 75Kg
2. 780KG
Does anyone know what these mean??? The purchase of a towcar depends on finding out the caravan weight. I have looked online to see if I can find its weight but to no avail. It is an Abi highway 459CT (5 berth)
Many thanks in advance
Mat

i think, but not absolutely sure,
0. 1000kg is the total max weight
1. 75kg is the nose weight
2. 780 kg is the unladen weight
From this you can measure how much you can load into your van i.e. 1000 - 780 = 220 kg.
Hope this helps.

I have just been outside to have a look on the plate of mine (Ace Jubilee Viceroy) and it is shown
0. 1150kg
1. 75kg
2. 935kg.
I have also double checked in the spec. details that came with the van when new (21years old, but we have all the docs since new) The details quoted on the plate, as above, are confirmed in the documention.i.e Max gross laden weight 1150kg, Max nose weight 75kg, unladen weight 935kg.
I would say that your Max is 1000kg and is therefore well within the limits of the cars max limit of 1300kg, and most certainly under the 85% as the calculation comes in at 64% (1567 divided by 100 multiplied by 64 = 1002.88)
