I posted on another thread, I'm having probs figuring out how to assemble a rear sofa and side dinette into a double. The dinette cushions are all bifold, so fold out thin and the sofa (bunk) is thick. The means we haven't got enough cushions to make a thick bed or enough bi-fold to make a thin one. Am I being thick, please could someone explain it.
I don't really know if I can help, but I'll try. We have a Ranger 500/5, so I don't know if the set up will be the same. We have the two seats at the back which convert into a double bed and a bunk above.
When I am making up the bed, I put down the wee table and store it on the ground between the two seats. Pull out the base of the bed and I just slide the two sets of cushions together. One side has thick pad and the side at the door are bifold.
The pads for the bunk are kept under the seat. It can be a bit awkward putting the bunk up as I find you need to completely remove the cushion pads, so as to get the bunk swung up into position.
Hope this is of some help!

Thanks Oakydoaky, our cushions just don't seem to fit the space, we either end up with gaps (big) or we have a mix of thick and thin. Might ring Bailey and just see how it's meant to be. Maybe we're short of something?
Are you sure it makes into a double? In the photo it looks like to the left there is a single with a lift up bunk above, and to the right a single once assembled.
The bifold are used half on the dinette bed and half on the bunk, one seat and one back for each. The sofa has the thick base cushion as a matress, the back cushion is not used.
Or if used as only 2 singles the dinette cushions are used full thickness.
Are there slats that pull out from under the chest? It looks like there should be, but what would support them over the space between the dinette seats? There are presumably slats that pull out from the side between the dinette seats, so do the middle slats rest on them? Or is there something that pulls out from under the sofa?
It doesn't look like there are enough cushions at the back to make a transverse double. You would need some from elsewhere. Are there any spare ones from the front bed? E.G. the cushions in the front corners? Plus the back corner ones?
However, if it did make a double, there would not be enough cushions to make the upper bunk at the same time.
When the slats are pulled out in the dinette and secured you can then pull out the slats from the central drawer unit (no handle) so it makes a large double. The cushion for the bunk is kept elsewhere, but its specific size wise to the bunk only and doesn't go anywhere else. The back cushions on the bottom bunk can't be used as you say as they are specially shaped to go round the bunk when folded down.
Like u said, I may see if there are cushions from the front spare. I'm not used to the chests of drawers being fixed, it makes up much more easily if they can be removed.
Yes, possibly the back left seat cushion plus the 2 front corner seat cushions would fit in the middle between the dinette bed and the sofa. Or maybe just the 2 front ones, difficult to see how big your space is!
So you have extra cushions just for the lift up bunk? I wonder why the dinette ones are split then? Odd.
Nope, spent another hour playing the how to make a double end bed jigsaw to no avail. Without getting intimate with the wooden slats, it's not going to happen :(
Yay, we have an answer from Bailey. You have to buy an extra central cushion if you want to make it up into a double bed!!!
Still confused as to why you need to have any bi-fold cushions in the first place? It now seems they surplus to requirements as you use them folded anyway.
Off to find out how i'd buy an extra cushion now.......
