Had my Ace jubilee Courier 2005 advertised now for two weeks on numerous free adverts sites(including this one)and not had any interest. Was advised by a dealer that I would have no problem selling it as there are a lack of second hand vans out there.
Need to sell soon anyone got any other suggestions.
Many thanks.
Just put this on another post. Sell it on EBay classifieds it will only cost you £12.99 and take a lot of good photos of the inside and out and give it an honest write up. I sold my caravan which was 6 months old in 14 hours, and I got the amount I asked for. I looked at your advert and the photos are not very good. It pays to use a program like Photoshop to make them sharper and brighter. It is that I was told, that sold my caravan.

I think you could improve the add a little by making it easier to read - break it up a bit with some paragraphs and take out the duplication about pets and smoking.
Same on ebay sold last month for £7000. Another didn't sell & was bid up to £6100. A dealer has one still for sale at £8650.
I don't think 2 weeks is very long. There is not a lot of money about at present. The advice from your dealer might be more relevant if you were offering finance.
I have been trying to sell a beautiful car now for 1 month - Lot of people want it but not a lot of money about.
As suggested, put it on ebay, either as a classified or as an auction with reserve. If it sells on an auction, the fees will be no more than about £40. If you auction it then you will see how much people are prepared to pay.
You need to pitch the price a bit lower than dealer's forecourt prices & it does help to have well presented listing. Make sure all photos are the right way up!
An auction on eBay will cost you £8 to list and a minimum £20 final value fee ( even if it only sells for £0.01 - yep a penny) final values between £2000 and £3,499.99 attract a 1% final value fee, anything above £3,500 will be £35.
A Classified ad costs £12.99 and no final value fee (plus you will be less likely to get time wasters
Another important thing I didn't mention in my other post, most private sellers do not include the MIRO and MTPLM weights and for people buying, they may need to know this with the car they have at present. It is all little things that count when selling. I take photos and then crop them to the actual thing I want them to see. try taking photos that are not over bright as some of yours are. They could definitely do with sharpening. If you would like to email me some photos I would quite willingly make them better for you but they would need to be at least 800 x 600 pixels. I think you can contact me through my profile or my web site.
Compare your van and extra's on auto trader, and caravan valuation sites. price it too high and you won't have a prayer. I put my 2004 van on here (free ads) at a reasonable price and in 24 hrs of listing received 7 calls and sold 2 days later
Thanks for all your helpful replies. Its the first time i have taken photos and advertised!
Barmar i will try and email you, thankyou for being so helpful.
Thats OK. I do like helping if I can and if you look at my profile you might still see the caravan I advertised on here. I also have two new photos of my latest caravan in there too.
