hi been up to our caravan today not been since early januay  and the door had had a screw driver or somthing in it as the van was open and the near side seating  at the front and the side seating at table have been stolen

nothing else there where wastemasters awning aqua rolls cooker all sorts where in radio was still there as well

we where gobsmacked rang police and all they have done is give us a number for insurance they are now sending claims forms out

we cant use the caravan yet for a while as hubby is having a quadrupple bypass next week

we have been at the same storage for at least 14 years never had a problem

we are think someone as got the same caravan and waning some seating the same as ours

nothing more than theifing b-----ds

Very sorry to hear this, the last thing you would want to have to deal with at this time.

With your van being fairly new it can't be due to age they were looking for replacement, could it be for accident damage to an uninsured van? Still you are left with the worry and hastle whatever it was taken for. :(

Bizarre, mind you when I did some work with the Probation service a number of years ago there was a very clear "market" amongst the criminal fraternity of stealing to order which is what this sounds like.

Horrible for you though and like others here wish you and your hubby the best.

Ask the police if there's been a caravan stolen in your county with the cushions removed!! Our last one was stolen off the drive two years ago this month & it was taken away with no soft furnishings in it at all because we remove eveything & keep it in the house.

The scum bags who took it, had already tried to take an identical van from a house 3 miles away from here but due to it having an al-Ko lock & being hitched to a large RSJ they couldn't get it away. They came here & took ours then went back there & took all their soft furnishings by forcing the rear window open.

The owners were obviously very upset as we were but for them it was worse, their van had never been used & the cushions still had all the labels on them. Our van was found the same day, I recovered it back to our dealers the following night & their cushions were returned.

They caught the creatures who darkened my doorstep Tony, they recovered our aravan along with another. Also recovered was 2 motorcycles & two quads as well as two stolen van (vehicles)

I found the rubbish (Bright yellow) wheel clamp twisted off & dumped in my neighbours hedge. I told the police I'd found it & they wanted that as evidence. We had a letter over a year later asking me if I wanted to collect the evidence or I could make someone my servant to collect it on my behalf. Alternatively I could authorise them to dispose of it.

They also wrote to me recently asking me if I'd like to make a statement. Over 2 years had passed & I'm afraid no statement was coming from me after that time had passed.

What made my skin itch was that, if they knew where to come to find our van after trying to steal the other one, how many times had these animals been looking at our van. We'd found the jockey wheel slightly raised several times & always thought it was local kids messing around. It could have been the unwashed setting us up for a visit.
