If you look in a discount shop that has a camping section you will often find toilet chemicals half the price of the branded stuff like Thetford.

I am conducting an experiment and replacing my pink top tank stuff with multipurpose cleaner from the 99p shop. Nothing has exploded yet and it smells better.

Would not try and replace the blue stuff with anything though!

I got some free from a local dealer, their own brand. But I am not sure that I would go back even at that price!

You need to look at a value not just the price. We use Elsan double blue, at £13.75 (towsure) for the twin pack, of blue+pink both 2 litres. Which is 33 charges or 41p per charge. Yet `cheap` fluid can work out at 76p per charge for both waste and flush.

We also look out for special offers and stock up when its cheap.

You get what you pay for on this one. If you use a cheaper or thinner brand then you simply empty more often due to the aromas.

We always use Elsan Double Pink and Blue and have not problems and it is usually on offer at all dealers.

Seems to be popular chioce, we also use Elsan Blue/Rinse Toilet Fluid (Twin Pack) from towsure have tried cheaper and they dont last half as long so is false economy, I'm a great beleiver in "you get what you pay for", buy cheap buy more

there were times I could have torched it, no but really yeah took a while and mrs was there every step of the way, suppling tea coffee and scotch when needed, will sort of miss the old girl now shes gone but had some good times in her, new van needs no work, not sure what I'm gonna do with meself come the end of season, might build a teardrop for the daughter.

i use a few drops of zoflora, a whole bottle for 89p will make about 5litres this lasted me a week, i empty the cassette everyday, and fill the top tank every day as well, had no problems at all, and i also use the toilet duck discs in the toilet, smells just like home, cant stand the pink stuff.
