Being new to caravaning at the end of last season I read up on how to drain the water system down to prevent freezing. What I didn't know was that lurking at the back of a very narrow cupboard by the fridge and sink was an inline filter.
I won't say which make, that's not fair on them, they warn on the filter to protect from frost. Obviously mine had a very wet medium, and what with our minus 20C night-times lo and behold it cracked.
When flushing the system out today water poured all over the place.
So reading up on my caralevel, motor mover, satelite et al was a help, but the van still bit me in the bum!
I have bought a replacement filter, but I'll be sure to remove it when I drain down next winter!
