Don't listen to everyone saying that once you start to put awning up other caravaners will come and help! Our first time trying to put up our dorema size 11 awning - people disappeared off the site! Think it was something to do with the heated words thrown between OH and myself!!!!!!!!! I thought he should have had some idea how to put it up as we did used to go tenting years ago - thing was I forgot it was my boy scout son who had actually did it all then.
Anyway, if you still need help I'll try and do a diagram for you from memory as we are not using our awning yet this year cos it need repairing.
