As you enter the caravan (bailey senator montana)there's a light switch very low down so you can switch it on before you step in the van....only thing is, we can't work out which light it switches on? No lightbulbs are out anywhere, but nothing happens when you use it? As our last van didn't have one of these can anyone help. Presumably it's the main internal light? Is there something wrong with the switch by any chance?
Could it be a mains light "master" switch which requires that individual lights in the caravan are turned on, then if you are going out for the night, you can turn the illuminated lights out with this switch, then all back on again upon your return. If all lights are switched off already, then this switch will do nothing.

On our previous van , light switch just inside the doorway quite low down was an awning light switch. The awning light also had a switch on the light itself (inside a cupboard). If you didn't have the switch turned on at the light, the secondary switch in the doorway wouldn't do anything!
Ahhh..it took me a while to work it out aswell! It's the light on the A frame cover in front of the gas locker box, presumably designed to give you some illumination at night if you're changing gas bottles etc. Quite thoughtful really.
