This has been a subject much discussed in the Caravan Club over the past 6 months and on other forums. I certainly would not screw them to the back of the van. You could use adhesive pads. What we need is a supply of peelable stickers that can be easierly removed. I have no idea how strict the Spanish Police are about such things but you are hardly in a position to argue if they are doing checks!

item no. 070765 and 070760 1st is alu./2nd is plastic.i have read there is a healthy fine if not used and you could be in the police station for days if not paid.the size is 50x50 cm.how they are fixed on i do not know.compulsory in italy too.OR

You can fix them on with double sided tape & you can buy them from any commercial vehicle spares counter. I don't like the idea of drilling the rear of my lorry so mine are fixed on with tape & they don't go anywhere as long as the tape is good.

I don't see why they've decided to have them on caravans, just something else they've dreamed up.
