Could anyone take picture of the location of the isolating switch for their mover. I was going to mount mine into the area just under the 240v socket (battery compartment). There appears to be a large pre-marked area for it, but the switch only needs a 25mm hole, so will the pre-marked area be strong enough to hold it?

Many thanks

Mark.

Thanks guys, so I drill the hole 22mm in the middle of this pre-marked (cut out) area, then two small holes for the mounting bolts?

Mine looks like this...

300

I'm asking because is this area is a cut out, the plastic marking out the area is a lot thinner, and I didn't want to place the switch here if no-one else does because the plastic breaks easily.

Mark.

Hi Mark,

Mine is identical, and I fitted mine in same position. Had to file the hole a little because my cutter was undersize.

You need a helper to bolt it up though! (Its the only the part of  the job you need it for)

Also, I found it helpful to pre-assemble the mover on all its bars before offering it up to the van. Measure the track width of your van closely, to the outside of the tread width. Then set up your mover so all the tubes are evenly spaced and the dimension to the roller GAURD is the same as the track width you measured.

Its a tricky lift under the van, but you can be sure all is tight and centralised, before fitting to the van.

Also, watch those short leads to the battery..they really limit where you can fit the control unit.

Allow a day for fitting.

Good luck

Iain

not sure if you know but if you have no cable to fit the switch to the battery you can buy a set of car jump leads as these are correct size to carry the current.if you need large eyelets for the switch,as these are hard to find in a DIY shop,if you go to a large car radio shop they sell then for fitting speakers. the two small holes need to be bolted through to prevent movement in use.
