We have only used our caravan once since getting it in February this year.
When we did use it we had hook-up, so just plugged in and everything worked.
If we were to use the van on a site which either does not have hook-up or they have no spaces with hook-up can we just plug the tv in and run through the zig unit via the leisure battery or car or do we need a seperate inverter?
Thank you for any comments/suggestions you may have
If the tv is a 12v one then you can just the 12v lead into your 12v system, if however, its only a 240v tv then you will need an inverter, but dont expect the battery to last long

If the TV has a 12volt input, you can plug it into the 12volt socket by the TV aerial outlet if you have one.
If the TV is a normal domestic one without 12volt input, you will need an invertor. An invertor changes the 12volt electric from the battery into 230volt ac like at home.
Be careful because TVs do drain the battery if used a lot.

Thank you.
It is just a small lcd domestic tv.
Yes we do have a tv aerial outlet.
Thanks for the replies.
Have a look at the transformer that is in the power input for the TV and see what voltage it says on the box, you might find that it says 12v in which case you can just plug it directly into the 12v plug when working on battery, all you would need would be the correct lead to do it.

For a licence dated 1997 or later you must add together the plated max weight of the caravan and trailer, if the total is 3500 or less you can tow it. You may even tow a caravan with a MAM greater than the cars unladen mass the restriction was removed in 2013
