After much deliberation we decided that our old girl 91 bailey pageant was not big enough being two berth being that there is 3 of us and two dogs, so we decided to look at some new vans ( used but new to us lol) we had set our minds on a bailey ranger, that was the van for us so off we went to see however I fell in love with a Abbey vogue gts 416, just somthing about it got me going the build quality and the finishing seemed a bit more refined and nicer.
So as from next week we will be the proud owners of a Abbey vogue gts 416 2003, I can't wait and just in time for our first trip this year, the only sad thing is we now have to find a nice home for our bailey (biba) my sister has shown sone keenness so she might stay in the family.

Know the feeling. Never been caravan owners (but had both been caravanning as kids) and went out for a picnic table....came home with a caravan! Onto our third now!

Dangerous things, eyes.... I could tell by the look in Mr Squirrel's that we were going to buy one!!

Is'nt it funny how you can walk into a caravan and just "know" that this is the one your heart has been wanting  ?  When i saw the Bailey Ranger GT60 i just knew that she was the one.  Though as she was new i had to wait a few month's for her.  Our 1st 'van was a GT but being 30 years old she didn't quite have all those extra's GT's normally have lol.

I'm sure you'll have some wonderful times in her

A few years ago we were passing Barrons at Coppull and just went to look... bought a Swift Lifestyle which we sold to our neighbour's gardener so we still see it. Just browsing and ended up with our current van which we intend to keep for some time but I do like the look of the Fleetwood Heritage vans with the end bedroom.

Thanks all, i can't wait I liked the ranger but I fell head over heals with the abbey it was love as soon as I sat down, hubby looked horrified as I went all ga ga over it he said let's go home and think about it, I said I didn't need to think this is the one, he loves caravans as much as me but isn't as obsessed lol, I saw a bailey Pegasus yesterday going down the road I sped up so I could catch it up and have a look as I hadn't seen one in real life lol.
It's a dangerous game this caravan life lol, I keep thinking new van needs some new things, but have been told to stay away from caravan shops I don't think he trusts me to just buy somthing small lol.
And no wonder Reading these replies , lol at going in for a windbreak...that's me for sure.

I agree with its dangerous to look at caravans!

Last may we went and had a look round a 'van dealer, saw an Abbey Vogue, it was as new. The OH fell in love with it so we bought it.

We only used it twice because of work commitments, so now we are selling it!

My mate now knows it's dangerous giving someone a lift to the dealers to get something from the shop too. He & his wife gave a friend a lift, she & he wandered around while waiting for their friend to emerge from the shop & they ended up falling for a van there. They've yet to decide to buy it but I think she'll convince him

yes i agree we went to have a look and bought our first van which was an Abbey Vogue GTS, our family grew with grandchildren so traded her in for another Abbey, Aventura 6 berth, then about a month ago i spotted a fixed bed and fell in love with it, this time its a Coachman and i instantly new this was the van for us, finally i have the layout i want. I have just bought some new bedding to go with her,,,,,,because you just have too...hehe  enjoy your new van.
