Also a strict 'No' to running with any kind of gas heating switched on, it doesnt take that long to heat up a Caravan once on site, and its just not worth the risk of a fire starting or or something worse such as an explosion if anything went wrong whilst towing.

Plan of attack: Arrive at pitch. First job, get leccy cable and plug in, one member jumps in van and puts heating on. Then get out again and drop steadies and unhitch van. Park car up and get any additional luggage out of car and into van. By the time you've filled the aquaroll, got the air locks out of the plumbing, switched the fridge to mains, put the kettle on (or opened a beer) and started unpacking, it'll be warming up nicely.
Alternative plan of attack to Misssizipi's, arrive on site locate pitch, reverse Caravan in have OH stand by the have her plug in Cable, then wind down steadies, then go and fill water container, then sort out all the other items unload car etc etc, by that time she should be nice and warm!!!

I will put my thinking cap on, will invent something and make a million. OH is always moaning the van is cold when we turn up on site.

Leave your coats on/put your coats on until it's warm! It's coming out from a lovely warm car into the cold that does it!
Is it technically possible to put the electric heater on while towing? If so, is that a good idea or not?
With the cruddy weather, would seem to be nice to be able to turn up and not have to wait for the van to warm up...
Up in Wharfedale this last week, we arrived on site, set up and then I started on the awning. After putting the awning up, whilst the heavens opened, and having the rain run off the awning roof right down my neck as I tried to ram home the rock pegs, the van was lovely and warm when I was finally allowed in.
So there's your answer - stay outside till the little lady has warmed the van for you!

I just run a 50mm pvc pipe from one of my car heater vents into the caravan via a small opening I drilled in the van gas cover locker and in to the area under the seats. From there it was easy to extend to all parts of the van. Simple (and effective too).

He He! Remind me again of the date.
It was a joke, wasn't it?
