too true micheal. i cant afford neither would ever buy new, caravan nor car, they loose so much as soon as they leave the showroom, so is this a lesson to learn, keep up service is a must or buy second hand and save £££££££ plus most of time get all extras too, and as long as you damp test it you only have yourself to blame if it gets damp!!
Last time we had ours serviced it clearly was a tyre kicking exercise; and we were astonished that the gas connections were not part of the service: the main thing we wanted checking. So we do the basic maintenance (grease etc) ourselves now. We check for damp by pressing on all areas, especially around window seals, you can soon tell if it's going 'spongey' and take action quickly. We had a small repair done for £180, less than a service to tell us about it. You probably have been unlucky, but have a nice van to look forward to.
