Tentz, I don't see the Police prosecuting for noseweight offences, unless it was really silly, but I can certainly see - and have seen - insurance companies sliding gracefully backwards out of a claim because all was not as it should be.
Steve, you're right, I have no problem with 5Kg difference in my noseweight, possibly because I'm never at the maximum. Some people are. I was going to add the point about gas bottles, awnings, motor movers and batteries, but Phil has already done that.
It's really easy to fail to notice just how much weight you are adding, and I think most people would be surprised if everything in their caravan was taken out and weighed. I would probably be included in that, even though I believe I'm quite careful about it.
As in life, weight sneaks up on you in caravanning.
I never worry about giving what may be unpopular advice on here, because I always see it as possibly saving someone from an embarrassing situation, or worse.
