Hi
bit late in the day to worry about it(!) but off to Lowestoft tomorrow (9th). Will be going M25, onto A12, from Kent. Car plus caravan plus two kiddiwinks!

Can anyone tell me if there is somewhere along the A12 Essex-ish where we can pull over for leg-stretch, toilet break, munchies etc?

The only services that have easy caravan access are Chelmsford services, signposted off A12 & the BP services at far end of Colchester Bypass. Plenty of room to walk around well away from the road on both these services. Only usual overpriced snacks available tho & toilets not very good. Chelmsford has a McDonalds but I wouldn't leave caravan unattended tho.

As you go around A12/A14 roundabout at Ipswich you will see Tescos in front of you. plenty of room in there to stop with a caravan, cafe/sarnies/toilets all there. Keep in left lane as you approach roundabout to get in there.

Or carry on A14 over Orwell bridge & into Orwell truck stop. Not just for truckers, park in a truck space, reasonable food/toilets.
