i have a spare 85amp leisure battery and a 800watt inverter, would this power the fridge for weekend breaks

Hi Stuart

I have an electrolux fridge that draws 125 watts (approx' 10amps from 12v) if yours is similar you'll be lucky to get 5-6 hrs from the battery. Does it not run off gas?

What sort of Fridge do you mean? If 3way fridge no. They only run on 12v battery while in vehicle/caravan with engine running otherwise battery drain is too high. Neither would it work off an inverter for same reason. If you are not on ehu you will need to run 3way fridge on gas.

If you mean a domestic fridge, again not possible too much current.

If you mean electric cool box, it woulf run for about 12hrs or more off 12v battery.

If you mean camping type commpressor fridge like a Waeco coolmatic, yes you probably could run it all weekend off your battery.
