OH has bee in bonnet about something to stand in the awning on which wet coats can be hung to keep them out of the inner sanctum of the van. She'd like this thing to double as somewhere to hang up clothes generally to help keep the inside of the van tidy.

Have seen strange tripod device in a catalog for a firm which can be described cryptically as 'hauling articulated trailers being certain' don't want to advertise or post may go missing :)

Does anyone know of a thingy which will fit the above rather vague girlie specification and if so what is it and where may I get one?

Many thanks

D

Hi, have a look at a Hangaway, you can get them from Lakeland, I have had one for some years and still as good as new, used at home every week when i do the ironing and always take with us when we go away in the caravan.

argos do a tripod shaped hanger-we use one and i can't think what its called!!- that has 3 arms on it with holes in for coat hangers.saves a lot of space.we don't use the shower in our van so hubby put up a hanging rail and we use that too.excellent in winter cos your coats aren't cold when you put 'em on!!

what about a 7 hook awning rail hanger like the one at Towsure. we use one for coats and fleeces instead of using the feeble coat rack that blocks the doorway in our Bailey.

I second the Hangaway. I got mine from Lakeland a few years ago. We have just got back from Chatsworth and it sat in the awning with the coats on coathangers. Also good for drying things if it is warm in the awning.

We have a foldable roatary drier for drying towels etc. If its wet and raining it goes in the awning and coats can over it as well. Does the job.
