Thanks for all the replies. (Jennifern) you mentioned that the new window is very thick, is the new version different from the others it is supposed to match on the front (ie.edge shading and the tint). In other words does it still match the small front windows either side of it?
OH says he is happy with it, no perceptible difference. Ours are a slight greyish colour. Our van is now 2 years old.
The centre window is much thicker than the small side ones, 50mm rather than 30mm. The thickness is due to the larger gap, the material of the panes is not changed. The inner pane is flat, the outer one bulges out more.

Yes, it is a known problem with the Polyplastic windows on vans made around 2007-2009.
The gap between the panes is too small, so wind pressure when towing causes the panes to rub together and get marked.
Polyplastic are now on "mark 3" of these windows. They were available from September 2009, so your replacement is probably of earlier manufacture. They are dated, so if you look at the numbers on it you can tell when it was made. On Swift vans, dealers were told to return earlier replacements and wait for the latest version.
We are on our 3rd window now.
If you need more info come back to me.
We have the same problem i am waiting for new Window
We have a 2008 model Elddis Avante 624 and have the same problem. We were told it was a condensation problem because one of the 'bungs' had been taken out and not replaced. Luckily it was taken out by workmen at the dealers doing another job on the most problmeatic caravan we have ever had. Seems to me that there are too many people with the same problem for this not to be a manufacturing issue
I'm curently having the same problem,my dealer has put a claim in and waiting to hear. My Elddis Crusader was purchased new in May 2010,yet the date on the sticker is 10/07,thats a long time for a window to be sat around???
