We arrived at Naburn Lock on the Easter Monday afternoon ( we must have passed like ships in the night) and we got back last night after 6 brilliant nights the weather was great and we did not want to leave yesterday!! but OH work needs must, Catherine and Peter who run the site we have known for the past 6years and have really worked hard at developing the site into on of the best in the area and we will keep returning with the hope of meeting other UK Campsite Memebers??

Have a look at the meeting up section on here, there's loads being organised in every area, I didnt fancy it at first, I was unsure what to expect and having 3 dogs I thought we'd find it hard to join in, I imagined it to be regimented with set times to do stuff and possibly cliquey.

How wrong  I was.

We went on our first UKCS meet last year and had a fantastic time, I was quite nervous about meeting people for the first time but everyone is there for the same reason and they were all so friendly, I'm not sure what goes on at every meet but this one was just a get together, no frills, for like minded people and we loved it, the dogs had a fab time too.

I am starting to look at next years summer holiday dates     We normally go soon as the lads finish school / college, but thinking of going a week later.

I always look at the meets but none of them are ever where i want to go When i want to go lol.  I'm sure there will be at some point.  Agree that we do need to get the UKCS stickers but i thought you had to buy something 1st to get the free penant to stick in your window and there's really nothing i want to buy from it? 

Agree that Honey and Gloria would look really good together lol. 

Next year i want to go back to Derbyshire/Nottinghamshire/Peak District for May Half Term and then we are going to tour Scotland the 1st 2 weeks of August anyone else got the same plans lol?

last year we went to the Lincoln show and camped in the UKCC allocated area, to be honest there were very few of us, but we had a lovely time, and the show was brilliant. I think you can also buy a flag ???

We could have a Gloria, Honey, and our Cassandra !!! hehe sounds like a TV programme....Sex and the city caravans !!!!

Yep that was us, and our Son was taking our Van and Truck up to the entrance!! (we had the grand children staying with us on the Saturday night) ready to depart for home, I now wish we had met on site?? definitaley going to get UKCampsite Stickers and a Flag now for next time. all the best to you and yours and Happy Caravaning for the future.
