Are  you sitting comfortably,,,i will begin,,,,i ordered a suncamp awning at the NEC show including the annexe, inner tent and the upper poles that hold the awning tight to the van. The awning finally arrived 2 weeks ago, MINUS the upper poles, i contacted the dealer who sold us the awning, he said they were on their way to be delivered a couple of days after the awning arrived,,,,,,no sign of them, rang again, they were on the van for delivery the next day,,,no sign,,,,same again ,,no sign of them..... telephoned last friday he assured me he had a tracking number but wouldnt tell me it ?? and they would arrive today,,,,,well telephoned again, finally he gave me the number of the factory who make the awning...... after him being VERY rude to me on the phone, telling me i was a pain in the b-m, and to p-ss off !!!!!!

 It turns out they were NEVER DELIVERED to the factory with the awnings, and are currently in a container on route from china, so nobody had received there upper poles, and are not likely too, till first week in May !!! WHY did he blatanly lie they were being delivered ??? when i challenged him he swore at me and put the phone down.What a terrible service, very rude,and deceitfult

The factory manager was brilliant and has gave me permission to pick the upper poles direct from the factory (20 miles away) in May when they arrive from China.

as with everything in life if one person has had a bad experience it doesn't make everyones experience bad with them.. I have bought products from a company thats had a bad rep on forums... i wouldn't name n shame tbh.. :) but thats my opinion..

me ive had problems with highbrigde caravans, but there are so many people that have not, sometimes people have an off day.

but it does sound that you could of been told the truth

Ok will name the company, i agree everyone has an off day but surely there is no excuse for bad language and rudeness to the extent i was subjected too. The factory owner also seemed fully aware of this company and actually laughed when i told him my story...seemingly to suggest i was not unique. 

The company is called Jeff Bowen Awnings, they were at the NEC show at Birmingham, i think its a case of not being able to cope with the demand, when ever you ring he ALWAYS says hold the line i am on another call and working alone,

On the other hand he cannot sell awnings if the factory cannot produce the goods to sell, my biggest gripe is that he was dishonest,and very rude, i would have been ok about it had i known the true story,,,,,which actually was out of his hands!!

and then it turns into almost a witchhunt...

ooo i wont go there cos so n so has had a bad experience... come on now if we live life like this we would never buy anything cos someone else has had a bad experience....

anyone catch my drift??
