Hurrah hurrah!
We just bought a new to us caravan. We have owned 2 beautiful vans in the past, but sold them due to family circumstances - growing kids, house extensions!
Today we called in to our local dealer - just to have a look
2 hours later we left after having bought a Sterling Europa 520, 2001 model.
We sat in her, it felt just right. One owner from new, full history, lovely condition, and 2 year warranty.
Can't pick her up till 8th May as they are so busy - half their stock says SOLD - but also includes a full check and some accessories.
So happy, I look like a cheshire cat
I had already booked loads of breaks and our summer holiday, so relieved to soon have the van on the drive.
I'm back as UKCS van owner........

Yay must have been something in the Nottingham Air this weekend as we got our van sorted too!! Maybe it was that volcanic ash

Out of interest was it a local Notts dealer and did they do 2nd hand awnings?

Well done, it must of had your name on it. We to have had caravans in the past, and sold them. We bought our 2003 Bailey at the end of last Summer, not looked back since.

Mrshorsy it was Lowdham Leisureworld, round the corner from us.
And yes they have lots of second hand awnings upstairs, I presume from the vans they take in a p/ex.
So glad you got sorted too, we must have stepped out with a determined air this morning.

I was in a showroom today in Preston and I would say 50% of thier stock of vans were sold.

Apparently there busiest start to the season they remember.

Kinza we pick ours up on Saturday and then are having our "try before you buy" outing to Conkers on 8th May thought we'd stay local for the first towing trip!

Good Idea Shaz.

Took ours to Tebay Caravan Park it is part of the services and only about 1 and 1/4 away from our place.

This meant I was able to avoid busy roads on our first outing.

I actually found it relaxing towing it as life at 50mph on the motorway is so much easier than the usual life in the fast lane.
