Congratulations. We swapped our tent for a caravan last October and have managed 3 short breaks away so far.
Being able to go away for the weekend during the winter (it snowed on our first outing!) is fantastic.
I was very wary of the actual towing bit, but even that isn't as bad as I imagined it would be.
We are going to Cornwall for our summer hols and I can't wait to try the van out with the proper awning - we bought a small porch awning for weekends which is great.
As for all the gadgets, I don't worry about all that - that's why hubby is there . I'm sure he'll get sick of me asking which oneis the heater switch and which is the water heater Makes him feel useful, wanted and indispensible tho!
