Well I did it, I took my folding van out for my very first ever tow, it's such a strange feeling. It's not as bad as I was expecting, but not as good as I was hoping It will take time to get used to....being a single mum it opens doors for us to be able to go away in a more 'secure' unit than our tent. I was a bit nervous of towing, still am but hey ho A bit more experience and we will be well away Do you remember your first time?

Well done!!!! I towed for the 1st time last year but luckily i had my dh with me. It was nowhere near as bad as i thought it would be but dh hasn't let me do it since so maybe i was worse than i thought lol. I'm sure you will soon get used to it the more you do it.
Well Done, Congratulations to you, keep brave and steady lol, its a great feeling, I am hoping to tow tomorrow, we are going away and leaving are teen at home alone.
Well done to you, I have towed a few times now and even taken the caravan and set up on my own a couple of times. The sense of freedom and independence is fab. Just get more practice and you will forget you are towing anything. Congratulations x
I towed for the 1st time last weekend an hour to the site and an hour back!! I've now got to tow everytime we go away. It wasn't as bad as I was expecting, but the road was very straight. ha ha. I did have to turn right at a very very busy island which I wasn't looking forward too - but I did it. May bank holiday weekend I'll be hitting the road again - solo from now on 'cause my OH will be in front towing my Moms caravan.
Excellent well done i pick my van up tonight and a bit nervous of towing but i have got to give it a go. Hope you have a nice time and a safe journy let us all know how you get on.
well done celeste74, I had to stop driving due to ill health and Kay had to do the driving and towing, she's done 3 trips now and had no probs at all in fact she looks forward to it so keep smiling and happy vanning.

The reversing really has me baffled, I know what to do but still cant get it to go where I want. I am just looking into courses to see if they will help.
