Can someone please put my mind at rest,we picked our new van up this week end and i left the trauma heater on low while we where as sleep and when we woke the next morning the heater wasnt on, and now the green light on the thermostat wont come on. Please tel me this is something simple as i have sited my van now and dont want to return to the dealers as it is 40 odd mile away from where we are.
Sorry it was on electric, but earlier on on in the night it was blowing cold air and the green light was on. I havent had chance to change the fuses as there is 2 of them but obvoiusly will be doing so i was wondering why there was 2 fuses and not one to be honest when i pulled the fuse compartment out.
Ok i think that will be my best bet at this stage,i wonder why there is 2 fuses though when i pull the fuse holder out of the socket there is a 10 amp and a 5 amp !
The green light is powered direct from the 240v going to the heater, no light then, means either no power to the heaters control board or a faulty control board.
Like you, I don't understand what or where two fuses might be? The heaters 240v isolation switch has one 10A fuse same as fitted in a normal plug.
The holder for this fuse quite often breaks up and stops the power getting to the heater, this then could be your problem and in this case the isolation switch need replacing.
contact kelly here, had very good responses in the past.
