hi all.
i have seen on various caravans a waste bin that is fitted to the inside of the lower half of the door. Are these factory fitted or can they be bought and DIY fitted? any ideas who sells them?
sick to death of tripping over our small pedal bin, which im sure has it in for me!!
thanks.
simon.

Hi there I got one from Towsure online catalogue.
I posted on here asking this last year, & was kindly advised by Nora who posts as Max & Paddy.

Ours came fitted in the van. When I saw it I thought it was going to be a waste of time because of the size, but it has been proved to be so useful and the size is deceptive. When you have shut up the caravan for the night, the last thing you fancy doing is going to the waste bin in the awning, it comes into it's own.

I just bought a swing bin and will put it outside the door in the awning.
50 liter one. Barging from co-op on offer this week, £5!!!

I got one from local accessory shop. dont think mine is as big as Gypsydolls cos I cant get much in it. Also our door isnt moulded, and I wasnt sure if screws would damage it. So its still in the bag!
Ive got a collapsible one that does just that everytime you walk past it.

Warning, I fitted the towsure one to my Swift Charisma 550 and bumped into it and it fell of. The internal skin of the door is thin soft aluminium, I was left with three holes in the door which I filled with resin, refitted the bin, but now leave the bin of the door.

Think before going the door bin route if you have a fly screen.
Even on some new vans the bins on the door can wreck the fly screen.
Why oh why dont some "designers" think things out; screen deployed wind blows the door with tired stay and it cost a fortune! Insetting the screen to have sufficient clearance was all that was needed.
