Hi, we just got back from our 2nd trip away and this time we put the awning up for the first time. Have to say it went extremely well - no divorce papers on their way - and not even an arguement, only a few cross words at one stage, even though we managed to get the side uprights the wrong way round...cant beleive it really as OH is not the most patient of people. The only problem was that we had to pitch on the hardstanding and didnt have enough rock pegs to peg it out properly but there was no wind so we were ok. Even managed to take it down with no disasters. We celebrated the erection in the proper fashion with a couple of beers and a nice bottle of wine
Well done! Have you marked the poles so that you know where everything goes next time? I lay mine out on the groundsheet in the required position before I start. Still argue but in a more structured way

Thanks Tony, yes we marked the roof poles to where they should come out to and we've also colour coded the left/right/centre poles with tape so we know which side they go on. Also made a note of what we had done becaise we're bound to forget what each colour etc was supposed to be for. We laid it all out on the grass before we started, still went a bit wrong but nothing major...and we're still taling to each other.
