Single button self igniting fridge, sparks ok, lights pilot whilst push button depressed, goes out as soon as button is released. Any suggestions would be gratefully received as currently sitting in awning typing this without a fridge and wine is getting warm no electric hook up so gas needed. Please help.

I had the same problem a while back. Turn the knob to the setting you need , take the knob off and push in the bit that is left and try and ignite it that way. It should be ok and light and stay on. The problem is that the hole in the knob is too big so I just packed it out with a bit of paper.
I hope this helps.
Steve

 (1) keep button pressed in for thirty sec's or more.

 (2) if that fails you may have run out of gas, you have already checked that "

good luck i hope that works four you.

I had exactly the same problem with mine, I tried a few things but the one that worked was as follows:

I took the exterior vent off the van to gain access to the rear of the fridge, I removed the burner cover and brushed out bits of soot and cobwebs which did the trick, it now stays lit.
My fridge is different to yours but most of them work in the same way, You will find the burner cover near the bottom of the fridge probably at the right hand side, It's a small metal box cover approx' 3x4" wide which will be held in place with 2 screws. Hope this helps

Steve

we had same prob too, hubby removed vents at back and cleaned everything he could get to with hoover , and sprayed it all with air spray (not hair spray lol) it cleans all things away that arent ment to be there, spiders, cobwebs, dust, grit etc etc,and now it works great and only need to hold button in for 10-15secs as wewere told that if you had to hold button in for longer there may be a different prob and it would  need a service !!!! as it can be dangerous having to hold button in for a long time
